Airolo-Pesciüm supports Martino Conedera, a young freestyle Moguls athlete

Valbianca is pleased to announce the beginning of an exciting new collaboration with Martino Conedera, a freestyle Moguls athlete born in 2002, a young promise in the Swiss winter sports scene.

Martino, an athlete who took his first steps in the world of freestyle right here in Airolo, has already made a mark in the competitive freestyle skiing world. Proudly part of the Swiss-Ski national ski team's B squad, Martino has shown his determination and talent. Two years ago, he made his debut in the prestigious World Cup Circuit, and last year he represented Switzerland in the Freestyle World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia.

Martino's specialty is freestyle Moguls, an extremely technical discipline that requires skills in skiing through the moguls and performing spectacular tricks on the jumps of the course. This discipline has captured the attention of millions of viewers worldwide in recent editions of the Winter Olympics, becoming one of the most-watched sports on television.

Martino is an example of dedication and passion. Despite his international commitments in sports, he has continued with his education, earning his professional maturity in 2021 and his federal maturity this year, with the goal of pursuing university studies. In the coming year, he will also serve in the elite sports corps in Macolin, demonstrating his commitment both to sports and education.

This collaboration is part of the new National Freestyle Training Center (NLZ) in Airolo, a location with a strong tradition of hosting freestyle training and events. This center represents a significant step towards raising the standards of preparation for Swiss and international athletes.

The construction of the NLZ Center is currently underway, and the inauguration is planned for the winter of 2024-2025. This means that Martino and other athletes will have access to a world-class facility right here in Airolo, representing a significant opportunity for the growth and development of freestyle skiing in Switzerland. With this state-of-the-art facility, Airolo will position itself as a destination of excellence for training and competition in the world of freestyle skiing, contributing to the development of new talents and the promotion of the discipline internationally.

The choice of Martino Conedera as the ambassador of Airolo will allow the resort to become even more recognized in the world of freestyle as a leading destination for this exciting discipline. With this partnership, we look forward to the future with enthusiasm, expecting excellent results from Martino and continuing to promote the development of freestyle skiing in Airolo and Switzerland.
