ATC course: excursion planning (02.02.20)
An "advanced" course for those who already regularly practice ski touring (or snowshoeing).
We are pleased to offer you a technical and practical course for those who want to improve their knowledge of how to plan an excursion with skis or snowshoes. The day includes a theoretical part, research exercises at our ATC center and in the afternoon practice on the field.

Program:
08.30 - 09.00 Collection of tickets (at the ticket office n°1 at the departure station)
09.00 - 09.10 Ascent by cable-car
09.15 - 12.00 Theory (at the SSSS Châlet in Pesciüm)
- Planning the trip with "White risk"
- Risk reduction methods
- Interpretation of the avalanche and weather bulletin
10.15 - 12.00 People search exercises (at the ATC centre in Pesciüm)
13.15 - 16.00 Practice
Cost: CHF 100.- (ascent and lunch not included)
Shovel, ARVA and probe rental CHF 30.- (on reservation)
