Day with the alpine cheesemaker to discover the secrets of alpine cheese
All these questions and more can be answered on Saturday, July 15, thanks to a day with Ezio Pedrini, who has been managing the Pesciüm alp for more than 50 years. Learn all the secrets of cheese production, from the pasture to your table, thanks to Ezio, who oversees the pastures and makes sure the cows are kept healthy. A chance to watch the milking and see with your own eyes life on the alp.
Meeting at 9:45 a.m. in Pesciüm, tour of the milking facilities and introduction to alpine pasture management.
We will then move to the Stüa, where all the children can test themselves in a blindfolded cheese tasting in which they will have to guess which cheese is from the alp!
Lunch follows at the restaurant la Stüa in Pesciüm.
In the afternoon, visit to the dairy and explanations on cheese, cream and butter production. There will be the chance to watch the milking.
