Raiffeisen FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships

EVENT CANCELLED

It is with great regret that the Ticino Freestyle organizing committee-in agreement with the managers of the Airolo ski resort-has decided to cancel the Raiffeisen FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships in Airolo, scheduled for March 23-26, 2023. 

Unfortunately, the current snow conditions in Airolo-Pesciüm, as well as in all ski resorts scattered over our canton, are critical. The small amount of snow present does not allow the preparation of the dedicated Moguls slope and the Aerials area and thus the holding of the planned races. Even the weather forecast in the short term does not give sufficient guarantees.

In 2023-after a sixteen-year absence-the World Junior Championships will return to Airolo, scheduled for March 23-26 with Moguls, Aerials, Aerials Team Event, Dual Moguls Team Event, and Dual Moguls competitions.
