Olympic slopes Inauguration
Doris De Agostini and Michela Figini special godmothers!
Thanks to the safety works carried out during the summer, since the beginning of the season Valbianca SA offers two new slopes, one in Pesciüm and one in Ravina.
At the inauguration, the new naming of the slopes of the Airolo-Pesciüm ski resort will be unveiled and the champions of the region that have made Airolo famous all over the world will be present: Doris De Agostini and Michela Figini!
The program includes the descent of both new slopes together with Doris and Michi and all the people who want to participate in this special moment.
(n.b: both slopes are of black difficulty).
To cheer up the wait at the top stations of Comascné and Varozzei, departure of the new slopes, there will be music and hot drinks for everyone!

To end the day in the best possible way, at the après ski bar la Chièuna a dj will animate the evening.
The resort of Airolo-Pesciüm can boast of two alpine skiing champions who have made their first ski runs here and who will be the special godmothers of the event: Doris de Agostini, Michela Figini.
Doris De Agostini is a former alpine downhill specialist, the first skier from Ticino to make her mark in this discipline. Her palmarès includes eight World Cup victories, the 1983 Downhill World Cup and the bronze medal won at the World Championships held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1978.
Michela Figini was as well a Swiss alpine skier. Michi was one of the Swiss national team's top athletes in the 1980s and was Switzerland's standard-bearer at the opening ceremony of the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Among other things, she won an Olympic gold medal, a World Championship, two General World Cups, four season titles in downhill, and one in Super-G.
