Pesciüm under the stars!

A truly fascinating spectacle is lurking in the sky: be enchanted by the magic of shooting stars!
We invite you to a unique evening in Pesciüm, a privileged place for observing the celestial vault, where you will have the opportunity to admire the night sky.

At the end of the evening, those who wish can camp in Pesciüm and spend an evocative night in the open air.

La Società Astronomica Ticinese, which for more than 50 years has been committed to spreading the culture of astronomy and the passion for the science of the sky, will accompany us in the evening to explain why every year in August we can see so many shooting stars and why Airolo-Pesciüm is an ideal place to observe them. 

The offer includes:

• A/R cable car ticket
• Dinner at La Stüa Restaurant in Pesciüm (drinks not included)
• Stargazing with suitable equipment

Program:

• 19.30 Ascent by cable car
• 20.00 Dinner at La Stüa Restaurant in Pesciüm
• 21.30 Ascent to Sasso della Boggia, explanation by experts and stargazing with appropriate instrumentation
• 22.30-23.30 Descent to the valley

Cost (lift ticket A/R + dinner, excluding drinks):

• Adults: CHF 60 (CHF 50 with summer season pass)
• Children (up to 14 years): CHF 30 (CHF 25 with summer season pass)

The number of participants is limited, so booking is required by August 10, 2023.

In case of bad weather, the event will be canceled.
The evening will be confirmed or not the day before. Notice to registrants via email.
