Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena: A new center of excellence for freestyle in Switzerland.

For years, Raiffeisen Bank has proudly supported freestyle events in Airolo. A historic partner of the Moguls and Aerials disciplines, it has associated its name with major competitions such as the Raiffeisen Freestyle Europa Cup, the Raiffeisen FIS Alps Tour, and the TiSki Raiffeisen Series. Today, this collaboration is further strengthened with the birth of the Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena, the new national training center for freestyle.

A state-of-the-art center for international freestyle

Thanks to the new arena, Airolo establishes itself as a reference point for freestyle in Europe. The facilities, designed according to FIS standards, will provide an ideal infrastructure for international competitions and athlete training. Christoph Perreten, Chef Freestyle Freeski & SB Freestyle of Swiss-Ski, states: “The Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena in Airolo is the base for our Aerials and Moguls teams – from young talents to elite athletes – during the winter training season. The arena offers optimal conditions for the development of our athletes and also hosts regional, national, and international competitions.” The Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena is a fundamental step for the growth of freestyle in Switzerland and an opportunity for local talents.

Talents of Swiss freestyle

Airolo has long been the cradle of Swiss freestyle. In addition to past champions like Debby Scanzio and Marco Tadé, today the scene is dominated by athletes of the caliber of Noé Roth, a two-time winner of the Aerials World Cup, and Pirmin Werner, who has multiple podium finishes in the World Cup. They are joined by young prospects like Enea Buzzi, Paolo Pascarella, and Martino Conedera, already prominent in the World Cup and the Junior World Championships. A tradition of success that continues to grow, strengthened by the new Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena, which will ensure a solid foundation for the future of freestyle talents.

A rich calendar of international events

With the inauguration of the Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena, Airolo is preparing to host several competitions. Between March and April 2025, the Ticino location will be the stage for three major events: two stages of the Raiffeisen FIS Europa Cup in Aerials (March 7-8 and April 5-6) and the Raiffeisen FIS Cup / Alps Tour in Moguls and Dual Moguls (April 4-5). A program that confirms Airolo's role as a hub for freestyle in Europe.

A commitment that goes beyond sport

We are proud to support freestyle skiing and young talents within a reality close to us like that of Airolo,” says Davide Gabutti, President of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank Tre Valli. “The Raiffeisen Freestyle Arenarepresents a concrete testimony of the local commitment by the Raiffeisen Banks of Ticino and Moesano for the development of this winter discipline in our Canton.” continues Mauro Cavadini, President of the Federation of Raiffeisen Banks Ticino and Moesano.

An opportunity for Airolo and the Alta Leventina

The Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena is also a great opportunity for the area, which, thanks to the synergy between sport and tourism, confirms itself as an ideal destination for enthusiasts and international teams seeking optimal training conditions.

Valbianca SA is pleased to strengthen the partnership with Raiffeisen Bank Tre Valli, the Raiffeisen Banks of Bellinzonese, and the Federation of Raiffeisen Banks Ticino and Moesano by presenting the Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena as a center of excellence for the Moguls and Aerials disciplines in Switzerland.
