The idea of a mountain marathon in Ticino was born from the passion for these valleys that have nothing to envy in terms of views and nature to more renowned places. Especially the Bedretto Valley, well known for its incredible winter and summer excursions, offers some of the most suggestive alpine views.

By covering these trails far and wide and having organizational know-how in mountain races, the organizers have let themselves be fascinated by the possibility of offering something new. Not a trail but not even a running race. A middle way that allows those who are fast to cover the entire track, along very runable paths and without a too important difference in altitude, in a relatively short time, but that also allows those who are less trained to face serenely this natural tour of the valley bringing home great emotions. The refreshments along the route will relieve hunger and thirst and you will have time to take some pictures on this haute route that always remains at altitudes of about 2000m, surrounded by peaks of over 3000m with glaciers, lakes and pastures.

The departure from Airolo allows everyone to easily reach this privileged location by public transport or private vehicles, as well as the presence of hotels and accommodation facilities offers the possibility to stay overnight in the area. The race ends instead in Pesciüm, where you can eat at the restaurant la Stüa before heading back down to the valley by cable car (or by foot) in a fast and safe way. The place is also easily accessible for those who want to go up to assist their loved ones or to watch the arrivals and cheer for the runners.
