Traveling to Airolo: What's New for the 2024-25 Season

Valbianca, a Swisstainable partner, continues to support low-impact mobility solutions, promoting the use of public transport and the free shuttle service connecting the Airolo train station to the lifts. Starting this year, parking at the Airolo-Pesciüm facilities will be subject to a small daily fee, which will contribute to financing the shuttle service and maintaining snow clearance in the parking lot.

Free Shuttle: For those who prefer to leave their car at home, the free shuttle connects the Airolo train station to the Airolo-Pesciüm lifts. You can check the shuttle schedule here.

Traveling by train? Take advantage of the Snow’n’Rail Airolo offer! Reach the Airolo-Pesciüm lifts via public transport and enjoy exclusive benefits! With the Snow’n’Rail Airolo offer, you get:

  • 20% discount on 1- and 2-day ski passes.
  • Up to 50% discount on the round-trip public transport fare (validity and details at ffs.ch/snow’n’rail).

Traveling by car?
If you prefer to travel by car, parking at the Airolo-Pesciüm facilities will now be subject to a fee. The daily fee helps fund the shuttle service and snow management, ensuring a safe and accessible area.

How to Pay for Parking

Payment can be made conveniently in two ways:

Payment via App or QR Code
For those who prefer a quick payment option, you can pay directly using the ParkingPay app, Twint, or a credit card. Simply scan the QR code displayed on the signs in the parking area.

Payment at the ticket office
For those who prefer not to use the app, payment can be made directly at the ticket office.

Camper parking
We have reserved a dedicated area for campers, located on the right at the parking lot entrance. Payment for camper parking is managed through a separate online system (ParknSleep), which is widely recognized among campers. If you prefer to purchase a permit directly at the ticket office, the cost is CHF 18.- (an additional CHF 1.- per person tourism tax to be added to the rate). In this case, there is no need to register the camper’s license plate in the ParknSleep system. You simply need to pay the amount at the counter.
