A Dedicated Space for Freestyle Disciplines

The Raiffeisen Freestyle Arena in Airolo is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities tailored to the freestyle sport’s key disciplines:

• Moguls: Mogul skiers tackle a challenging, bump-filled course while executing two aerial jumps per run. Scores are based on technique in handling the bumps, the quality and difficulty of the jumps, and overall speed. This discipline has been part of the Olympic program since the 1992 Albertville Games.
• Aerials: Aerial skiing involves performing spectacular acrobatic jumps from a snow-covered ramp. Athletes are judged on three key aspects: air (takeoff, height, and distance), form (execution and precision of movement), and landing. This discipline has been an Olympic sport since 1994.
