Winter Season 2024/2025: Our Recap
With the 2024/2025 winter season officially ending on Sunday, April 6, it's time to look back and say thank you to everyone who chose Airolo-Pesciüm.
Despite a challenging start due to low snowfall — especially during the Christmas holidays — the season gained momentum from late January, giving us increasingly favourable conditions and a total of 108 consecutive days of operation. Thanks to these conditions and the dedication of our entire team, we managed to keep the slopes in excellent condition until the end, with the valley run open until late March.
In total, we recorded 47,383 ski passes on our slopes — a 20% increase compared to the previous season. A result that encourages us to keep pushing forward.
But there’s more: the season was enriched by numerous successful events that brought life to the resort and involved athletes, families, youngsters, and snow lovers from all over Switzerland. Some of the season’s highlights included:
Snow Motion
World Snow Day
Stöckli Ski Test
Regional Freestyle Championships
Explore Day VF
Earth Hour Live
Regional Slalom Championships
Two ski days for children with disabilities
Grand Prix Migros & Migros Ski Day
Swiss Parliamentary Championships
Swiss-Ski Shred Days
Raiffeisen FIS Freestyle Ski Europa Cup
National Paralympic Ski Championships
Final Jump Airolo
...and many more!
One key element for us is Airolo’s role in nurturing young skiers. Many clubs and schools chose our resort for outings and ski courses, offering countless children and teens the chance to discover the sport. We firmly believe that investing in these experiences is essential to ensuring the future of skiing and the vitality of our station.
Now we turn to summer, which kicks off on June 19 — a season full of new challenges and opportunities. Airolo doesn’t stop: we’re working on new initiatives to bring you even more experiences beyond winter.
Thank you to everyone who visited Airolo and helped make this season so special. We look forward to welcoming you again soon — even in summer — to explore everything our mountains have to offer.
